TownFare Legal
Terms of Service
These Terms govern use of TownFare, a local discovery and community marketplace that helps people find and connect with independent sellers, makers, food providers, service providers, event organizers, and other local businesses.
Effective August 23, 2026
TownFare is a platform
TownFare provides technology for discovery and communication. Unless TownFare expressly says otherwise, TownFare is not the seller, manufacturer, employer, agent, contractor, food producer, service provider, event organizer, delivery provider, or payment processor for transactions between users.
Sellers determine their offerings, prices, availability, payment methods, pickup or delivery arrangements, refund policies, and fulfillment practices. Transactions and arrangements are between users.
Accounts
Users must provide accurate information and are responsible for protecting their account credentials. Seller accounts may only be operated by people who are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering contracts.
TownFare may suspend or terminate accounts used for fraud, harassment, prohibited listings, illegal activity, impersonation, repeated policy violations, or conduct that threatens the community or platform.
Listings and transactions
Users are responsible for the content they publish. Listings must accurately describe the business, item, service, event, availability, price, and other material information.
TownFare may review, restrict, reject, hide, remove, or disable content when reasonably necessary to enforce policies or protect users. Approval of a listing is not TownFare certification, licensing, inspection, endorsement, or verification of the seller or offering.
TownFare does not guarantee that a seller will complete a transaction, that a buyer will pay, that an offering will meet expectations, or that a service will be performed as represented.
Regulated businesses
Sellers offering food, cosmetics, childcare, transportation, professional services, or other regulated goods or services are responsible for determining and complying with applicable laws, licensing, permits, labeling, insurance, taxes, and safety requirements.
User content
Users retain ownership of original photographs, text, logos, menus, listings, and other material they upload. By submitting content, users grant TownFare a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, format, distribute, and promote that content for operating and promoting TownFare and the user's listing.
Users represent that they own their uploaded content or have permission to use it.
Safety and disclaimers
Users are responsible for exercising reasonable judgment when meeting or transacting with others. TownFare safety tools and recommendations cannot eliminate all risk.
TownFare is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, TownFare makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, availability, quality, safety, legality, reliability, or suitability of user-generated listings or transactions.
Liability, indemnification, and law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TownFare is not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or special damages arising from interactions or transactions between users. Nothing limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
To the extent permitted by law, users agree to defend and indemnify TownFare from claims arising from their listings, products, services, unlawful conduct, infringement of third-party rights, or violations of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
